Job Title: Travel Superintendent – Commercial Concrete Construction

Location: East Coast and Southeast

Position Overview: You will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead and coordinate construction activities, manage subcontractors, and maintain a high level of quality and safety standards throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial concrete construction projects from start to finish.
2. Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to on-site construction teams, including project managers, foremen, and subcontractors, to ensure project objectives are met.
3. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
4. Quality Control: Ensure that construction activities meet or exceed quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.
5. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, and work closely with the project management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
6. Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns and requests in a timely and professional manner.
7. Schedule Adherence: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and proactively identify and resolve any schedule delays or conflicts.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial concrete construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of concrete construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Experience in tilt-up and light commercial / light industrial projects
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate on-site construction teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects from conception to completion.
• Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
